想念

是的，雖然在另一處又開了一個新的blog了，
但還是懷念這一片地方...呵呵。
怎說呢，
就像是曾經喜歡到的一個公園，
後來因為找不到路，
不能去了，
已經好久沒見到那些遊樂場內的一家大小、涼亭下的叔叔嬸嬸......

剛剛見了好久不見的人，
一直沒多聯絡，
卻說起很久沒見我的blog有新update了...
剛好到了現在工作的地方，
找到了往公園的路，
便偷來一點時間，
雖然沒有特別想說的事情，
還是到了這個公園走走......

空氣很好呢!

已經四天。已經在家附近碰見好幾位朋友...哈哈，嚇了她們一跳吧。

好些朋友奇怪我怎麼比預期中早回來了。是的，我申請了一年的工作假期簽証，卻不過三個月多少少，就回來了(我是刻意要留多過三個月的，否則辛苦申請的working visa便好像沒用處了:p)。不是玩厭了，也不是已經看過了所有地方，事實上，我的確頗喜歡這次旅程，也認為紐西蘭是很適合人住的地方...尤其是留在riverside community的最後一個月......不過，比預期中早了回來，我也並沒有可惜的感覺。

回來，是旅程的一個不可或缺的部份。為了想念甚麼而回來，回來後又想念些甚麼。沒有辦法兩全其美，就只好從中選擇。可是能有想念的人，想念的地方，想念的生活，不也是值得慶幸的事嗎。喜歡想念的感覺，閉上眼就能看見，雖然也許會有點模糊，但如果你不是曾經擁有過，又如何想念得來呢。

臨離開riverside的時候，正好是月圓的幾天，而且天色明亮。我教了riverside的合唱團唱了一首歌:

明月幾時有，把酒問青天，
不知天上宮庭，今夕是何年?
我欲乘風歸去，惟恐瓊樓玉宇，高處不勝寒，
起舞弄清影，何似在人間?
轉珠閣，低綺戶，照無眠。

係呀，原來教外國人讀普通話，都幾難。尤其是j,q,x,z,c,s,zh,ch,sh的分別，他們讀的時候，我們都笑作一團呢。

be a tourist this week

after three weeks staying in the riverside community, i left last thursday and decided to go to one or more places in south island, before i go back to hong kong. people said that south island is beautiful, esp. the west coast. but i will not go there. i'm now in christchurch and i'll go to a lake nearby tomorrow.

however, i found that i'm not really interested in sight-seeing. after back to a city like here in christchurch, i found myself become an alien again...too many strangers on the road, too many shops, too many traffics. though christchurch is already a green and beautiful city. it seems to me that i don't really enjoy to be a 'tourist'.

today i went to a botanic garden in christchurch, and i found a 'vegetable garden' there. then i found how i missed the garden in the riverside, where i picked up the salad veg every morning and done a lot of weeding and planting....it looks like a messy and weedy garden, but when you spend more time you'll find many surprises there~~ someone already stayed two months there told me that he can still find new things in the garden...like raspberries...yumm...

anyway, i'm looking forward to go back to riverside again in this thursday. hoho~

and i'm looking forward to back to hong kong very soon~~

here in the riverside community

hi~ seems long time~

I'm here now staying in the Riverside Community, in Motueka, South Island, for already a week, and will stay for more two weeks, hopefully.

It's my first time to live in a "community"--living in a communal way, the members share the responsibilities here and only get allowance weekly. For me, as a wwoofer, I usually pick up salad in the morning and also do some gardening work, e.g., weeding, mulching, planting, watering....in exchange of accomodation and food. There are about 80 people living here (I guess), some of them are members, some of them are residents, some are wwoofers like me, and some are renting the house or hostels. So I meet a lot of people here~!

Hihi! though i think there will be millions of people using "happy new year!" as their blog titile, I still insist to use this! haha...

this is the year of pig. and this week i greet pigs everyday...they are so cute! today i found that when they sleep, they are always "smiling"....well, i don't know whether they are really smiling or not, but it seems that they are really do!

and today i saw a rooster "climbing" on a hen too....wow, my first time to saw this scene :P

here is a good place with good people. small garden in the natural place. sheep, cattle, chicken, pigs, dog, cats...trees, fruits, veges, herbs..., books, magazines, food...i read books about permaculture and the father here also introduced me a good magazime called "YES!" ...well, not like that one in HK....

the organic river festival has already ended. and i'm now staying in another family nearby. they produce organic eggs and chicken. and they have 3 children in the house, other 5 in other places too!! and last saturday i was in the farmers market to help selling the produce and the chutney and jam...etc. :)

um...sometimes i feel like having composition lesson in primary school when i writing english here~ oh~~ :P anyway...i'll try to write more, despite of the wrong grammer or words used...just like how i talk to people here... :)

in the river festival, the most enjoyable thing for me is to watch the movies....and soaked in the river too. the movies are amazing, including "the power of community", "the true cost of food", "buyer be fair", "water and autonomy", "alphabet soup", "the okapa connection", "chickens in the city", "french fried to go"...lot and lots. i almost watched all in the list. i have buy some of the dvds too....definitely will share of those who are interested ;)
